Certification criteria

Exactly what each seal means.

Transparency is the product. Every check behind every tier is published here — what we verify, against which official source, and how often we re-check it.

The tiers

Each tier includes everything below it. A business that attempts a higher tier and clears only the lower checks earns the lower seal — a gap never fails what was already proven. Free for every business, new or renewal, whichever depth you reach: you earn a deeper seal by verifying more, never by paying more.

Registered — the entry seal

Free
  • An active GSTIN or Udyam registration, checked against the official registry (a cancelled or lapsed registration fails).
  • PAN verified and name-matched to the business or its proprietor.
  • A mobile number verified by OTP.
  • You get: A certificate, a public verify page, and a listing in the TrustBiz registry. Free — it stays live as long as your registrations do, re-verified automatically.

Verified — the working seal

Free
  • Everything in Registered, plus:
  • A bank account or UPI ID confirmed to be in the business's (or proprietor's) name via bank-grade verification.
  • Verified contact details and declared online presence (website / Instagram / WhatsApp), which the seal is bound to.
  • You get: The embeddable seal (script, iframe, image and QR), domain/handle binding, and continuous monitoring. Renews yearly.

Verified+ — for companies and B2B

Free
  • Everything in Verified, plus:
  • Company (CIN) or LLP (LLPIN) confirmed with the MCA registry, including director details.
  • Sanctions / PEP / adverse-media screening and the MCA disqualified-director list (hits go to human review, never auto-pass).
  • Address consistency across sources and business vintage.
  • You get: A deeper public dossier suited to procurement and B2B buyers. Renews yearly.

Trusted — turnover-verified

Free
  • Everything in Verified+, plus:
  • A GST-returns-based turnover band (always shown as a range, never an exact figure), collected only with your explicit consent.
  • You get: The highest seal, with a verified turnover band on the dossier.

Always live, never a sticker

A TrustBiz seal is re-verified automatically — registrations every 30 days and bank checks every 90 days. If a GSTIN is cancelled or a company is struck off, the seal suspends itself and the verify page turns red, usually within 30 days of the change. A screenshot of a seal proves nothing; only the live verify page on trustbiz.org confirms status. That is deliberate — it makes a forged seal worthless.

What this seal is — and is not. A TrustBiz certificate confirms that a business's identity, registration and payment account checked out against official government and banking records when issued, and continues to on every re-check. It makes a business traceable and accountable. It is not an endorsement of product quality or service, and not a guarantee of any transaction or of future conduct. If a certified business lets you down, use “Report a problem” on its verify page — complaints are investigated and can suspend a seal.
